Google AdSense Account Status

Allow me to share an email I received from Google AdSense:

to me
adsense-noreply via google.com
Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your
application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program
criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.

We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the
effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as for our
advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to decline
any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our
program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content.

Please note that we may not be able to respond to inquiries regarding the
specific reasons for our decision. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

So what does this tell me. LOOSER.

I started two different blogs to see which one I liked the best. Up to this point WordPress was winning because I found it easier to get to the back office to add new posts, check stats, etc. The only thing I didn’t like is WordPress makes you pay for an upgrade in order to advertise on your blog, (or buy a .com website for $18 a year.) BlogSpot did not. Their program for using your blog to allow advertisers to post ads is AdSense. It obviously isn’t easy to be part of, nor are they friendly enough to be able to reach them.
“Thank you for your understanding.”  Don’t be so presumptuous!
THE END

Empty handed.

Have to admit, I haven't looked at a thing'. I'm just stopping in to keep up with the promise to myself to post every day about my adventure to master affiliate marketing.

Warmer tomorrows

It's Monday, -1 degrees! Gotta love winter.
There aren't enough hats, scarves, or gloves to put on in this type of weather. But . . . it's a good day to be indoors working on decisions for affiliate marketing.

I made the choice not to continue with the SMLearning Center. My reasons were because our daughter is getting married in four weeks, so we have family coming from three different states. I knew I wouldn't have enough time to properly look at all the information.  So, I'll save the $49.95 and try it again in March.

Then there is the issue of my famous "caught in a loop" of having to constantly put in my user name and password just to end up at that same page every time I click on the tool link. Even when I used Firefox as a browser, which Social Media Profits from Home recommend. I spoke to a very nice young man who was extremely obliging. I mentioned the glitch I keep running into and he was as baffled as me.

As the old saying goes, "tomorrows another day," for me it will be, "March is another month."

Until then I think I'll use that $49.95 towards a marketing campaign.

I did sign up for Google AdSense. That's progress for me. Let's hear it for free enterprise. I'll save later remarks about the 5,395 words in their user agreement.

Here's to warmer tomorrows.

Saturday and dropping . . .

Today was a high of 45. It was great. On the horizon was an Alberta Clipper. Which means, the high pressure that follows it is going to make the temperature drop almost 40 degrees. Add a little wind chill and you have winter in Wisconsin.

I spent the day, covering all the windows with blankets. Then filling bird feeders and moving them into the trees so the seeds won't blow away. Plus there were many other tasks that needed to be done so make it through the dropping temperature.

So, mainly I'm dropping in to say, "Nuttin' new here with my affiliate marketing venture."

Family Day

Thursday has been a family day. I am just stopping in for no other reason than to stay on target for one of many pieces of this venture . . . Blog every day.

Spooky Tooth

Now I'm going to date myself. Have you ever heard of the music group, Spooky Tooth?

I'm reminded of the lyrics from one of their songs.

HANGMAN HANG MY SHELL ON A TREE

Someone said he who knows he knows, knows nothing yeah.
He who knows he knows nothing really knows.

That about sums up how I feel about all the Social Media avenues that are our there. I have a few blogs besides this one and http://alfieitmarketter.wordpress.com. I am in the place of knowing I know nothing about what I'm doing. Isn't that the first road to growth and learning?

I once had a piano and studied music and songwriting. The more I learned, the more I realized I hadn't even touched the surface of the subject.

That is also how it is with Affiliate Marketing. The only way to learn is to start a campaign. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck. Here we go.

A day late and a dollar short.

There are no excuses for not posting yesterday other than the truth that I woke up, scrapped ice and lots of it off my car, gingerly drove our daughter to work, vegged out and took a nap, drove again, made pizza and coconut cream pie, ate, watched the New England Patriots game and went to bed.

Sunday, Sweet Sunday.

Sitting on the post.

Now this could be taken two ways.

I'm sitting on the post about continuing with the SMLearning Center. It seems outdated. I didn't make a phone call to inquire as to why the first day I was on I was able to use some of the features in Social Explosion X. Now I can't.
My bad.
So I guess I'll have to sit tight and hang on to that post rail until tomorrow.

Arrck!

Let me be honest. I'm rather speechless and thoughtless of the issue of affiliate marketing. I did start Adrian Morrison's other book that was send to me, Social Ad's Pro. I took it to the laundromat with me. No thoughts on it yet.

Today was a housekeeping day. All the chores that I've avoided since the 1st needed to be contended with. Tomorrow's another day.

Let's Write a Book

I haven't decided what I think about ClickBank. In the categories that I was looking through, most of the products to promote were eBooks. I know this is a trend.

But, I think of the many years we looked for a "work at home" business (often scheme) and we ended up with the "Book Sale." The person who writes a book and tells you how to make money by you now writing a book. It reminded me of the idea that if you send a dollar in an envelope to five people, then put your name at the bottom of the list of twenty people, soon someone else will do the same and bam in three weeks you'll have thousands coming into your mailbox. You'd have more envelopes in you're little ole mailbox than it could possible hold; or something like that.

I'll have to take the time to retrace my ventures and write up a little history of my experience with affiliate marketing. Maybe next time I'm here.

ClickBank and New Year's Resolutions

Just what is ClickBank?

ClickBank is a medium for online digital transactions. It is set up for vendors and affiliate marketers to expose products to the masses. They have a blog.  They also have a presence with YouTube, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.

www.clickbank.com

I found them easy to sign up with. I have yet to delve deeply into their site. So far I have just breezed through the pages. As far as the products to promote, egad there are tons. I haven't even brushed the surface. I will probably start in the Health & Fitness category. It's not only one I am interested in but a great place to start as we all think about our New Year's resolutions.

Next time I'm here I'll let you know what I've set out to market.

It's Alfie, saying "Goodnight".

Do you hear a scream?

Allow me to share . . .

http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=The+Scream&Form=R5FD14#view=detail&id=B44F7272233E73BE3BDF1FC96D1E8C72AD2DCA01&selectedIndex=34

Edvard Munch painted the Scream. I'm sure he was trapped in his dreams one night trying to set up blogs, make sense of AdSense, Google+, Google Buzz, and every new term and quirky place to get lost in the Internet.

At the first of the year I set up two new blogs and two new emails to go with the blogs. Each will be used as I study how to make money through blogging and affiliate marketing.

So, now I have aflieitmarketter.blogspot.com and alfieitmarketter.wordpress.com. I did both because I wanted to see which one would allow me to receive a revenue from ads placed on my blog. Heck we all like to shop, even if it's just window shopping.

So stroll along with me as I peer through the windows too.

I've decided to post on BlogSpot on the odd days. (as this has definitely been one) On the even days I'll post on WordPress.
